I swear my body is playing tricks on me. For the past week, I’ve been trying to get back on a normal sleep schedule. Every night, I would go to bed around midnight, set my alarm for 8 and…wake up the next day at noon to find that I’d turned my alarm clock off in a half-conscious act of rebellion.
Last night, I got in late and watched Project Runway. I also needed a shower, so by the time I ended up crawling into bed it was about 2 in the morning. Deciding to be nice (and realistic), I set my alarm for 10.
I woke up at 7.
Now, I’m sitting at my desk, hands shaking and mind blurry with exhaustion, but it’s too late to take a nap before I go out. Something tells me that this night will not end with me looking in the mirror and thinking, You look goood.
Then again, I hear undereye circles are making a comeback.
